A huge flock went by..

Ausable Chasm was our destination..

A narrow, deep canyon on a river coming out of Lake Champlain..

Amazing waterfalls..

An Historic site as it's been a spot for tourists for hundreds of years.

Up close, the evidence of water erosion is incredible..

It's a two mile walk from top to bottom..

A lot of stairs..

It's a wonder you don't see a rock come loose once or twice..

Walkways wind around the edges..

The walkways are narrow and wet with water falling from the high walls..

..and the water roars!

Water seventy feet deep..

Watch that first step!

Yep..  I took the raft ride. The water was too high to take the tubes.

I skipped the bus ride and hiked the two miles back to the top after the raft ride.

What a roar..

There's our new favorite watering hole..

..right on the edge of it all..

Looks like a painting!
